The definition of success in ministry is totally different from the norm. Success in ministry is the ability to translate your calling into a vision statement, and then into a practical experience for people. The ability of the people experiencing the details of the vision statement is your success in ministry.
If you build ten thousand seaters church, and the people are not experiencing the vision statement, you are failing. There can be increase in tithings, donations and offerings yet you are not successful in ministry. You can be moving from nations to Nations every week preaching the Gospel. That alone is not success in ministry. The real questions are, are you doing what God have called you to do? Are the people experiencing the vision statement of your ministry or calling?
Frequent revival programs is not a sign of success. Invitating top ministers in the country as guest speakers is not success in ministry. The real question boils down to this; have you being able to translate your calling and vision into an experience in people's life?
If your vision statement is "we are set to train people into God's plan." The question then becomes, how many training programs have you set up, and how many people have successfully grew into maturity through your training programs?
Dear Ministers of Christ, let's stop focusing on the minior and let's focus on the major. Outshining another minister or ministry is not success. Every ministers vision statement and calling is the standard, by which that Minister's success will be judged or measured. Let's focus on what God have called us to do individually.
All the five fold of the ministry needs each other. As a Pastor, Apostle, Teacher, Prophet and Evangelist - let's individually focus on our calling and vision. This is the will of God. Success in ministry is not in material things or money... even thou they have a role to play... they are not the standard for measuring success. It's not too late to make it right in your calling and ministry.
