Dear Believers in Christ, Have you ever considered the profound truth that being a believer in Jesus Christ automatically anoints you as a minister of His gospel? It's a concept that may seem intimidating or unfamiliar to some, but it's a foundational aspect of our faith that empowers us to fulfill our purpose and calling in God's kingdom.
The Bible makes it clear that every believer in Jesus is called to be a minister of His gospel. In 2 Corinthians 5:18, the Apostle Paul declares that God "reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation." This ministry of reconciliation is not limited to a select few but is entrusted to all who have been reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ.
Furthermore, in 1 Peter 2:9, Peter addresses believers as "a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession," emphasizing the privileged position we hold as God's chosen ones. As members of this royal priesthood, we are called to proclaim the excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.
It's crucial to understand that while we all have different roles to play in God's plan, no one role is superior or inferior to another. Whether you're called to preach from the pulpit, serve in the community, teach, evangelize, or simply demonstrate Christ's love through acts of kindness and compassion, each role is essential in advancing God's kingdom on earth.
Unfortunately, many believers struggle with feelings of inadequacy or timidity when it comes to embracing their role as ministers of Christ. They may doubt their abilities or compare themselves to others, feeling like they fall short in some way. However, this mindset is contrary to the truth of God's Word.
Instead, we are called to break out of that timidity and embrace our rights and responsibilities as believers in Christ. As it says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." With the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we have everything we need to fulfill the calling God has placed on our lives.
So, dear believers, I urge you to embrace your identity as ministers of Christ with boldness and confidence. Step out in faith, knowing that God has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill His purposes. Don't allow fear or comparison to hold you back from embracing the call God has placed on your life.
Whether you're preaching to thousands or simply sharing the love of Christ with your neighbors, remember that your role in God's kingdom is invaluable. You are anointed, chosen, and empowered by God to make a difference in the world around you. Embrace your calling, walk in obedience, and trust in God's faithfulness every step of the way.
With love and encouragement,
Prince Victor Matthew
