Dear Minister, birds don’t beg to fly, and lions don’t pray to roar—they express it naturally because God designed them to function that way. In the same way, you don’t need to beg, fast, or plead for God to use you. Doing so only shows a misunderstanding of who you are in Christ. You were saved to serve, and God has already assigned a purpose for your life. Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." You were made for God to glorify Himself in and through you.
What matters most is nurturing your relationship with the Holy Spirit through God’s Word. In this relationship, the Holy Spirit reveals how God intends to work through your life. John 15:5 reminds us that, “apart from Me, you can do nothing,” showing that God’s desire to use you flows from your connection with Him. It’s not about long prayers or endless fasting to convince God to use you; it’s about aligning your heart with His will and trusting Him to work in His timing.
It brings God joy to use you for His glory. Philippians 2:13 says, "For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." God’s plan to use you is not a favor He’s doing for you; it’s part of the privilege and calling of being His servant. Let go of the mindset that makes you feel like you need to earn His use—it’s already part of the grace He has given you.
Walk freely in the confidence that God is already at work in your life. Stop striving and start cooperating with the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:14 says, "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God." You are fully equipped to do what He has called you to do. Trust His leading, and you will see His power unfold naturally through your life.
Hope Expression Values You
