Dear Minister, Are you genuinely practicing what God has called you to do, or have you become entangled in the web of ministry activities that lack divine direction? It is easy to mistake motion for progress, and busyness for fruitfulness. But the real question is: Are you sent, or are you just going? Jesus said in John 5:30, “I can of mine own self do nothing… because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” Ministry is not about self-expression, self-promotion, or filling schedules with programs — it is about divine obedience and assignment execution.
Let us not forget that Saul was still king when the Lord had already rejected him (1 Samuel 15:26). You can still be holding the microphone, organizing meetings, and even drawing a crowd — and yet be out of alignment with God’s original instruction. Have you become so addicted to the stage that you've neglected the secret place where your true instructions flow from? Matthew 7:22-23 should humble every minister: “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name… and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you.” It is possible to be effective before men and yet be rejected before God.
Dear minister, pause. Return to your blueprint. Ask yourself, What was the last instruction God gave me — and am I still walking in it? Activities are not always equal to obedience. Showmanship is not always a sign of divine endorsement. The Kingdom does not reward popularity, it rewards faithfulness (1 Corinthians 4:2). Strip yourself of the pressure to impress and return to the place of intimacy where true ministry is birthed. Be sure you are doing what God called you to do, how He called you to do it, and when He wants it done.
