Dear teacher of the Word, your ministry is more than eloquent speeches and deep revelations—it is a divine call to raise lives through truth. The purpose of knowledge is not to impress or intimidate others but to inspire transformation. Teaching that does not lead to application is like lighting a candle and hiding it under a basket. Knowledge must move from head to heart and from heart to habit until Christ is fully formed in those you teach.
True teaching produces fruit, not fans. It must stir conviction, provoke reflection, and point people toward godliness. When knowledge is only used to show off Greek and Hebrew, argue theology, or win applause, it has become corrupted by pride. The goal is not to make others admire your depth, but to help them grow in their walk with God—step by step, word by word, truth by truth.
So, dear teacher, let every lesson you teach be tested by this question: Is this leading my hearers to godly living? If not, revisit the motive and refine the message. We are not called to make intellectual Christians but intentional followers of Christ. The end of sound doctrine must always be a sound life. Teach to transform, not to trend.
