Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” This answers the what—you were created for a purpose, not by accident. God had a specific intention for your life and ministry before you ever came into existence. You were designed to fulfill His plan, not just to chase random goals. This means your life is not your own project; it is God’s blueprint being revealed step by step.
Why does this matter? Because when you don’t know your divine intention, you live in confusion and comparison. You start measuring your success by other people’s achievements instead of God’s assignment for you. God’s purpose is bigger and better than any personal ambition. When your plans conflict with His intention, frustration will follow. The reason some ministers struggle is because they are working hard at the wrong thing—pursuing human applause instead of divine approval.
Now, how do you align with God’s ultimate plan? It starts with surrender. Lay down your ambitions before God and ask, “What did You create me for?” Study His Word, stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and be willing to let go of anything that does not fit His will for your life. Alignment may require sacrifices, but the reward is peace and power. You will never thrive outside the lane God designed for you because grace only flows where purpose is.
The questions of where, who, and when are also important. Where should you serve? Wherever God positions you for His glory. Who should you serve? The people He has assigned to you, not everyone who claps for you. When should you start? The moment He gives you clarity—don’t rush ahead of Him, but don’t lag behind either. Your life will make sense when you live by this truth: you were built for His intention, and His timing, His people, and His place will always align when you walk in His plan.
