Ministers must understand that their life becomes the loudest sermon. If you preach unity but sow discord in your home, your team, or your church, your example will weaken your message. Leading by example means living in such a way that your actions teach harmony even before your words do.
People under your ministry watch how you handle disagreements, how you speak about others, and how you respond to offenses. If they see love and patience in your example, they will follow. If they see division and strife, they will mirror it. Your example sets the tone of unity in the house you steward.
The church does not need perfect ministers; it needs authentic ministers who model the humility of Christ. When you forgive quickly, reconcile intentionally, and refuse to nurture grudges, you become a living testimony that unity is possible.
Self-assessment:
Does my personal example strengthen or weaken unity in the body I lead?
Am I quick to forgive, or do I silently nurture grudges?
In what ways can I model harmony better in my ministry this week?
