As a minister, you are more than a preacher of sermons; you are a steward of God’s household. One of the greatest treasures in that household is unity. Unity is fragile, yet powerful. It is the atmosphere where the Spirit of God freely moves. When unity is broken, the flow of God’s presence is hindered, and the testimony of Christ is weakened before the world.
Protecting unity requires humility, intentionality, and sacrifice. It means choosing the bond of peace over personal offense, and harmony over self-ambition. A steward does not fight for his own way but works to keep the family of God together under the authority of Christ.
When you see conflicts arise in your team, church, or fellowship, ask yourself, “Am I fueling division or stewarding unity?” Sometimes the greatest act of leadership is not proving you are right but ensuring the flock remains whole.
Self-assessment:
Am I actively protecting unity in my ministry, or unconsciously tearing it down?
How do I respond when conflicts arise—do I choose humility or pride?
Do I see unity as a Kingdom treasure entrusted to my care?
